Gawain Charlton-Perrin works in the Risk Control Department for CNA and works on risk management techniques and issues for insured attorneys. Formerly, Gawain prosecuted attorneys for ethical violations and defended attorneys in legal malpractice cases. He has also worked in the Lawyers’ Program claim department for CNA. He writes and lectures frequently on legal malpractice and ethical issues. He is licensed to practice Law in the State of Illinois, the Federal Northern District court, and the U.S. Supreme Court.

James J. Grogan is both the Deputy Administrator and the Chief Counsel (DACC) of the Illinois Attorney Registration and Disciplinary Commission of the Supreme Court of Illinois (ARDC). For over 31 years, he has investigated and prosecuted hundreds of charges of lawyer misconduct and has argued dozens of disciplinary cases in the Supreme Court of Illinois. He is a Past President of the National Organization of Bar Counsel (NOBC), the bar association of lawyer regulators. For over 25 years, Mr. Grogan has taught legal ethics, first at the DePaul University College of Law and then at the Loyola University of Chicago School of Law, where he is an Adjunct Professor. He has presented hundreds of speeches, lectures and workshops to law firms, bar associations, corporations and judicial and governmental groups and agencies on various professional responsibility and lawyer regulation topics.

Warren Lupel earned his B.A. at Roosevelt University in 1964, his Juris Doctor at The John Marshall Law School in 1968, and his M.A. at Loyola University in 1976. He admitted to practice before the Illinois Bar and U.S. District Court Northern District of Illinois, including the Trial Bar, as well as the U.S. District Court Southern District of Illinois, U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, the U.S. Court of Appeals Seventh Circuit, and the U.S. Supreme Court. Mr. Lupel serves as Special Counsel at Much Shelist, P.C., in Chicago, Illinois where he concentrates his practice areas on state and federal litigation and professional responsibility. He has served as Adjunct Professor of Law at Northwestern University since 2005.

Mr. Lupel has received several professional awards, including the John Marshall Law School Distinguished Alumni Award (1986), the ISBA Board of Governors Award (1990), the ISBA Presidential Award of Distinction (1993) and the Illinois Judges Association Founders Award,among others. He has been a member of the Leading Lawyers Network since 2004 and was named among the "Top 100 Illinois Super Lawyers" in 2011.

Mr. Lupel is a member of the John Marshall Law School Board of Trustees, Lawyers Trust Fund, Chicago Bar Association, Illinois State Bar Association, American Bar Association, Association of Professional Responsibility Lawyers, ISBA-CBA Committee on Judicial Compensation, Federal Bar Association, and Illinois Trial Lawyers Association. He has served as Chair of the Illinois Judicial Ethics Committee since 1995.
