    Collapse Workers

We are going to cover some “Quirky Issues” that you are not likely to see in other workers’ compensation seminars.  One of our speakers is going to cover the nuances of “suitable employment” under the 2011 reform act, and an Employment Law expert is going to help us learn about LTD, STD and ERISA issues.  The good folks at Ametros Financial are discussing how Medicare, and other programs are taking a firm line on MSA settlements as well as some specific examples of individuals having to reimburse both Medicare and Medicare Advantage plans for misused MSA funds. We will learn about new ethics decisions that affect our particular practices, we will also knock out our new “Technology” requirement. And finally, any Certified Mediator will be able to pick up the mandatory two hours of CME, which counts as general/ethics hours for everyone else.   So please join us for “Quirky Issues 2019” on September 13 in Raleigh -- or on the Web!
